Mick Foley has officially signed with TNA.....I say congrats.....He didn't like the way he was being used with WWE so he decided to go get paid somewhere else....More power to him, after all he's got a wife and two kids to worry about....

Gail Kim has signed to come back to the WWE....Why did TNA trade her for Foley? Couldn't tell you....Probably because Foley will sell more tickets.....although Kim probably looks better in a bikini.....

Cryme Tyme is getting a push for the 1st time EVER.....It's about DAMN time....They're funny....YES....They can wrestle...YES.....Successful AND Charismatic? Why weren't they pushed before?

Finally, John Cena may be back sooner than expected....If you're surprised by this.....you're an idiot....He wasn't supposed to be back for the Royal Rumble but he was....I'd say look for him to be back around Rumble time again......at the LATEST.....

I hear the story about the 9 year old boy who isn't allowed to pitch in Little League, because he is too good. What possible thought process about making him play another position or not play at all makes sense?? He is a NINE year old kid who throws 40 MPH and hasn't hit a batter all year. Yet a few mamby pamby's have decreed he is a threat to their children by playing a game. To top all this nonsense off the league is allowing this. Gee Wiz, I bet those parents can sleep better at night knowing their precious children won't strike out a time or two. What's next?? Maybe a kid is too good of a hitter or is too fast, or maybe their child is too poor of a player and might cause a team to lose. Heaven Forbid this tyrany!!!! Hopefully all the kids enjoy their sugar laden juice boxes and Little Debbie cakes after the game!!!!

Another thing that makes me wonder what the heck happened to all the common sense in the world?? Preseason predictions for the NFL or NCAA or any other sport. SI pciks the Patriots over the Eagles. They also predicted Georgia over Ohio State in college. Sporting News predicted the Chargers over the Cowboys and so on and so on. Isn't it funny every year they are wrong yet we still read these things like they mean anything more than the puppy cage lining they were meant to be.

The Democratic Convention drones on and on with heart tugging story of why this candidate is better than the other. The Republican Convention will be the same. Truly does anyone really want to vote for either fellow???

The big day is almost here and all we can think about is getting married! Today our family got together and talked about our dream wedding really coming true for us. How awesome that would really be for our dream as a couple to finally come true!! It is just unimaginable for us. We really love eachother and hope this will come true for our family!!

Ben Mauk's last shot at playing his fourth year of college football comes this afternoon when he gets a chance to speak with the Student-Athlete Reinstatement Committee just hours before the Bearcats open the 2008 football season at Nippert Stadium.

Mauk, who played his first year at UC last season after transferring from Wake Forest without penalty under a short-lived NCAA rule allowing graduates to transfer, will be able to plead his case personally for the first time in months of appealing to the NCAA for another year of eligibility.

"All he's asking for is the ability to play a fourth year, he never asked to hurt," said Mauk's attorney, Kevin L. Murphy.

A decision by the committee is expected to be made following the conference call with Mauk, Murphy said.

On Wednesday, Mauk was denied reinstatement a separate committee from the NCAA. An official from the NCAA called Murphy Monday night to inform him the request had been denied, but Tuesday was told that was erroneous. Wednesday, the same message -- this time official - was delivered to Murphy and Mauk.

Mauk was injured and redshirted as a true freshman at Wake Forest in 2003. He has applied to the NCAA that he was redshirted only because of his injury, which is the crux of his appeal. The NCAA has said there is no documentation from Wake Forest saying Mauk would have played had he not been injured.

Mauk started for the Demon Deacons in 2004 and 2005 before being injured in the first game of the 2006 season.

"He's not asking for anything other people haven't been granted," Murphy said. "There have been many, many instances where people have had six years to get four years on the field. They have plenty of case precedent of doing this."

Mauk transferred to UC for the 2007 season and led the Bearcats to their first 10-win season since 1951 and their first-ever final ranking. Mauk threw for 3,121 yards and 31 touchdowns for the Bearcats last season.

Murphy said Mauk could still go forward with his case against the NCAA, but NCAA regulations which could call for the forfeit of any game Mauk played in, monetary fines, loss of scholarships or bowls for the school or other penalties if Mauk participated with the Bearcats and courts ruled against him, make it too risky for UC to play Mauk.

The Bearcats open the season tonight at Nippert Stadium against Eastern Kentucky with senior Dustin Grutza as the starting quarterback. On Sept. 6, the Bearcats travel to Norman, Okla., to face the No. 4 Oklahoma Sooners.
